Please join us on Tue, November 18th, at 7 pm, when Evan Brooke presents her debut novel, Madeline McKnight Signs Off, in conversation with Emily Franklin. An unconventional relationship between women of two different generations becomes something transcendent in Madeline McKnight Signs Off, a vulnerable, heartbreaking, and life-affirming debut novel that proves it's never too late to make amends. Evan Brooke earned her MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars. Her work has appeared in The Threepenny Review, The Baltimore Review, Cutleaf Journal, Passages North, and elsewhere. She lives with her husband, three kids, and two dogs outside of Philadelphia. Emily Franklin is the bestselling author of twenty-five books including The Lioness of Boston, based on the life of trailblazer Isabella Stewart Gardner. Her fiction, poetry, essays, and photos have been published in The New York Times and The Boston Globe, among many other places. Her latest novel is Love & Other Monsters. She now lives with her spouse and children in Boston. (via Newtonville Books)
